History
Every audition, newest first, with the photos you took. Tap one to add or change anything.
Seen is an iPhone app for theater actors in New York. Tap the type of call as you sign in, take a picture of the sheet, and that’s the entry. No typing, and nothing left to finish later.
That’s the whole habit.Nothing else is ever required.
Once your photos back up, Seen reads the sheet for you: the show, the company, who was in the room and the casting contact.
It’s offered, never filled in for you. One tap to use it. Skip it and nothing changes.
Seen’s server sends sheet photos to Anthropic’s Claude to be read, and only when you’re signed in.
The casting directors, associates and music directors on your sheets are kept with each audition. Tap a name to see every room you’ve been in with them, and what you performed.
Every entry feeds the same few views. None of them asks anything of you.

Log a callback and tap the audition it came from. Callbacks chain, so you can follow one all the way to booked.

A dot for every audition. Tap a day to open what you did.
Opens once you’ve logged 30 auditions: how far they go, by month, studio and company. Your callback rate joins it once you’ve been seen at 30.
Log earlier auditions with their dates, or bring in the spreadsheet you already keep as a CSV, whatever its layout.
Discover shows upcoming NYC Equity calls one card at a time. Swipe right to plan, left to pass. Planned calls keep their details, and every card links to its original listing.
Non-Equity theater calls show up too, if you switch them on.
Most audition logs die of a backlog. Seen is built so there never is one.
A type and a photo is a whole entry. No drafts, no “needs details,” no badge counting what you haven’t done.
No callback is the default, so the most common outcome takes no work at all.
With numbers this small, a rate looks like a finding when it’s noise. Per-song figures stay plain counts, and your callback rate waits until you’ve been seen at 30.
No notifications, no reminders, no streaks. It waits until you’re at a call.
Logging and history work fully without an account, and saving never waits on the network. Signing in adds backup, sheet reading and Discover.
No ads, no analytics. Export everything, photos included, or delete your account and everything on the server.
Seen is in a small private beta on iPhone, through Apple’s TestFlight, and it’s free.
It’s made for New York theater: Discover shows NYC calls, with times in Eastern. Logging works wherever you audition.

Ask for an inviteI’m Shane Lonergan, an Equity actor and software engineer in New York. I built Seen for my own auditions first. It’s a beta, so expect rough edges, and tell me about every one you hit.
